Jade Cocoon 2

Okay so this game is one of my favorites. I played it back in the day and beat it, I caught all the different divine beasts and collected some job items I thought were cute (like cookies. They don't do anything but take up space and yet I wanted to keep them). Back in 2019, I bought a PS2 and Jade Cocoon 2 and played it again. This time, I wanted to max out my divine beasts. There's a level before the final boss where you can farm previous boss divine beasts and get a ton of exp. Also when a divine beast hits a certain level, you can merge them and they basically get reborn (with a different attack, if you choose). At level 20 they max out and don't level up anymore so you have to merge them to get better stats, though you can also merge at level 15 (this is recommended because the extra exp it takes to get to level 20 isn't worth it).

Anyway, stats max out at 999 and merges go up to 99 (but I think you can continue to merge them past this, the counter just doesn't go up).

So there are different species of divine beasts and my favorite are the Dracs. They're dragons and look neat. I think they level up a bit more slowly and their stats aren't really min-maxed so they're not great to use, but I have 7 of them I'm going to try to max out. The annoying part is that the last Drac you can get is given to you after you beat the final boss, so it's REALLY hard to max out that one after you beat the game. You can't find it elsewhere. I have to just level up my other Dracs and find a way to get exp for the last one. Ugh.

Also, just so you're aware, it takes about 3 hours of grinding to level up a divine beast from level 1 to 15.
