Background: Nova doesn't really listen to music as he can't make out the words. He and his partner share a room in the apartment they rent with their roommates. Nova is pretty quiet and a bit of a homebody. He has difficulty connecting with others and Bastian was his only friend before they started dating. Despite being alone, he never really felt lonely.

Nova is a hydra. Hydraism only occurs in snakes and dragons in this world, mainly due to excessive trauma and genetics. Each head has its own personality but only Nova can control his body. The heads will always appear in a certain order:
1. Mars. He/they. Manic, "I dare you" attitude, irritable, delusions of gradiosity.
2. Zero. They/them. Uncertain, doubtful, needy.
3. Star. She/her. Superior, seems to act a lot like his sister.
4. Astro. They/them. Quieter than the others, serious, mysterious.
After these 4 heads, the personality is unwieldy and the head appears to act on instinct rather than thought. He can grow up to 16 heads total, but this would need to be a life-or-death situation.
Oh, and he doesn't physically have these extra heads. No one else can see them but him.
