Background: After Zorr's father, the king, passed away, Criniel fell into disarray. The kingdom's main source of income vanished overnight and Zorr was quickly blamed. His only ally, his trusted advisor Roulik, helped him fake his own death. Zorr's brothers fought over the crown but each one was executed by the nobles, who took what little was left and fled. The kingdom was beyond repair and disappeared. Few know the name Criniel and even fewer remember the glory days.
Zorr and Roulik ran off together and took up new lives in lower Neopia City. Zorr works in manual labor while battling mental illness. He's still swallowing the pill that he was given everything and then had it all taken away. He's had a tough time staying away from drugs and alcohol. Roulik has been his rock in remaining sober.
He's got a short temper and frequently would get into brawls when he drank. For a very short while, he would get money by participating in underground fights.
Roulik
They met as teenagers and knew each other somewhat, but only became close when the king fell ill and Zorr was poised to take the throne. When his brothers and the nobles turned against him, Roulik fed Zorr an herb that knocked him out and mimicked poison. Roulik then broke into the royal tomb and helped Zorr escape. They left with nothing but the clothes on their backs and walked for months to get to Neopia City where they currently reside. Both battle mental illness and while some days are good, many are bad. Roulik does his best to ensure the two of them have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies.
While they began their journey as friends, they grew closer and work symbiotically as if they were one person in two (damaged) bodies. They share a bed and take turns eating what little food they can scrape together. When one has a bad day, the other comforts him. They certainly love each other and the word "soulmates" might best describe what they have going on.
